Local Group Joins Worldwide Celebration of International Babywearing Week
Babywearing International of Hampton Roads will be joining non-profit organizations allaround the world to celebrate the seventh annual International Babywearing Week (IBW) October 5-11, 2014. IBW is a time to celebrate, promote and advocate the benefits of safe babywearing, which simply means carrying a baby or young child on one’s body using a cloth baby carrier. This year’s theme is ‘Share the Adventure.’ Babywearing International of Hampton Roads will host many exciting events around Hampton Roads including hiking, play dates, practical babywearing workshops, a fundraiser, and more. International celebrations will also take place online on Facebook and on TheBabywearer.com. Participants can use the hashtag #intlbabywearingweek to share their own adventures on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
More information about the event is available at the International Babywearing Week website, http://www.babywearinginternational.org/events/international-babywearing-week/
