Things To Do
Summer Camp Spotlight
Summer is just around the corner, most of us simply can’t wait! As much as I love my kids, I am also loving the idea of engaging them in Summer Camps around Hampton Roads this year!
Triple R Ranch
Triple-R Ranch, a 370 acre working ranch in southern Chesapeake VA, has just the right programs for boys and girls, as well as teenagers. Triple-R offers a time proven quality program perfect for your child’s summer camp experience.
Begun in 1960, Triple-R has served many thousands of children, offering the same quality, Christian camping experience year after year. Summer Staff are recruited from colleges far and wide, based on their Christian Commitment and their desire to have a positive impact in the life and faith of their campers. These well trained staff help campers learn new skills and develop friendships while encouraging them through every part of the camp experience. A vital part of camp is our Bible time where counselors help campers to understand God’s love and apply His word to their lives.
Whether your camper mounts up for a horseback ride, launches a canoe for a glide down the Northwest river, tests their skill at archery and riflery, or just takes a stroll through our acres of woodlands, they’ll be sure to discover the excitement of the Triple-R when they attend one of their summer camps.

Hunt Club Farm
Hunt Club’s Summer Farm Camp provides children the opportunity to learn about life on a farm. This program offers hands on experience with petting farm animals, including horses, goats, sheep, llamas, rabbits and chickens. Campers learn the responsibility of daily feeding, cleaning, grooming and animal care activities. In the garden, campers pick vegetables, herbs and flowers, and they even pull a few weeds.
Each session includes several horseback riding experiences, fishing, farm games, daily cool down water activities, arts and crafts, and more! Campers leave with an abundance of knowledge and appreciation of all living things. The goal at farm camp is to encourage a friendly environment in which children learn responsibility and initiate leadership skills that will make a memorable impact on their lives.

“Camp Piankatank Summer Camp and Retreat center seeks to be a place where children, youth, and adults can enjoy God’s creation along the Piankatank River in a Christian retreat environment that encourages physical, spiritual, social, and emotional growth..”
Camp Piankatank is a Christian summer camp and retreat center owned by the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and located on the beautiful Piankatank River. During the summer Camp Piankatank becomes what it was meant to be from the beginning, a summer camp. For many years, Camp Piankatank was operated as just a summer camp. This is our passion, this is why Camp Piankatank exists, and this is why so many people love this place – they have experienced the live-changing power of Christ at Camp Piankatank, and can point to the very place at camp that they first accepted him as their Lord and Savior.
You can check out the rest of the website to find out more about their retreats or summer camp, and they are always available by phone or e-mail.
